While this Taunt may not reference anything specific from DC, it could represent Black Adam's role as a ruthless villain/anti-hero, as well as his role as the ruler of Kahndaq, in that he uses the thumbs up/down to symbolize whether or not he'll let his enemies live, similarly to how ancient emperors used this symbol in order to declare whether a gladiator may live or die.
