The Rowdyruff Boys (Brick, Boomer and Butch) are alternative unlockable variants of the Powerpuff Girls that appear in MultiVersus. They are the evil male counterparts of the Powerpuff Girls'.
Origin[]
The Rowdyruff Boys are major antagonists in The Powerpuff Girls franchise. They are the male but wicked counterparts of the Powerpuff Girls created by Mojo Jojo via flushing armpit hair, snails, and a puppy dog tail down a prison toilet containing a potency of Chemical X. Brick is the short-tempered and abrasive leader of the trio; Boomer is the loud mouthed dimwit of the trio; and Butch is the most dangerous and hyperactive berserker of the trio. After their death, via kisses from the girls, they were resurrected by HIM and have became immune to kisses thanks to HIM's anti-cootie vaccination. Although they have powers stronger and better than the girls, they have very easily targeted weaknesses. After they were revived by HIM, they look different and their personalities have changed from having simpler child-like hair and loyal brothership to spiky hair and tougher and psychopathic behavior.
Their designs are mostly taken from their season 5 and 6 appearances from the original The Powerpuff Girls.

- The Rowdyruff Boys appear as alternate costumes for all three of the Powerpuff Girls in Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL.
- The boys becoming heroes themselves has been a hope for long time fans. Although they were anti-heroes in the tenth issue of the 2013 IDW comics of The Powerpuff Girls.
- Boomer says they remember Mojo and their original birth as he says "Mojo created us out of a prison toilet" and is also implied to have been to Hell as he says "HIM resurrected us from a very bad place."
- Some lines of dialogue suggest the boys may have feelings for The Powerpuff Girls such as:
- Brick says "Oh, that Blossom makes me so mad! I mean she thinks she's so powerful, cool, and smart, and pretty, and smells like a unicorn, just a cinnamon scent, but she's not!", "Okay, okay don't tell Blossom... but I think she actually did a real good job fighting the last time I saw her." and "Do you really want to do this again Blossom?"
