The Powerpuff Girls are upcoming Fighters in Multiversus. A Gameplay Trailer featuring them will be released on September 12, 2024.
Origin[]
The Powerpuff Girls are the main protagonists of the show of the same name. As their show's opening narration states, Professor Utonium was attempting to combine "sugar, spice, and everything nice" to create the perfect little girls. But, with an accidental addition of chemical X, he instead created The Powerpuff Girls, a trio of super-powered kindergarteners. Blossom, the smartest and most responsible of the three, Bubble, who's optimistic and friendly, and Buttercup, who finds fun in fighting evildoers. They use their powers to save the City of Townsville from a rouge's gallery of adversaries, such as the super-intellegent simian Mojo Jojo and the powerful demon HIM. The girls and their successful TV series when on to receive numerous specials, video games, a reboot in 2016, and a second upcoming reboot.

- The Powerpuff girls were hinted at numerous times before their formal reveal.
- In The Joker's gameplay trailer, Send in the Clowns, the Powerpuff Girls can be seen on an icon in the top right corner of the Batcomputer.
- The official MultiVersus Twitter posted a picture of their characters in the waiting room from Beetlejuice, with three books on a table being the colors of the girls: pink, blue, green.
- They were also hinted at at the end of the Crisis in Townsville Rift, as Detective Elegant Mess says to use the Mayor's hotline to call in "some real tough cookies" to care of Mojo Jojo, which references how the mayor calls the girls whenever Townsville is in danger.
- Cathy Cavadini, Tara Strong and E. G. Daily are confirmed and returning voicing Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup after from one special series "Dance Pantsed"
- One of Bubbles' leaked voice lines references with Harley Quinn, duo in fact they're voiced by same actress Tara Strong.
