Shrug is the name given to a special Taunt for Tom & Jerry that can only be performed by Tom when Jerry is absent.

This Taunt comes from the 1943 Tom and Jerry short "Sufferin' Cats!" in which Tom plays dumb by shrugging his shoulders and raising his eyebrows to get Meathead Cat away from Jerry.
