The Gremlins are an upcoming group of non-playable characters in MultiVersus.
Origin[]
The gremlins are creatures who act as the primary antagonists of their titular franchise. A gremlin is a corrupted version of a mogwai that has been fed after midnight. They are all very mischievous, dangerously violent, and crazily fun-loving. Their level of intelligence varies, though all are capable of working (and sabotaging) complex machinery and devices, as apparent in folklore where they were believed to have brought down hundreds of planes in WWII. Their leader is usually a gremlin that is much more smarter than the rest of their respective batch. Currently known gremlin leaders are Mohawk, Claw, and Stripe.
Role in MultiVersus[]
As the gremlins have only appeared in Stripe's Reveal Trailer so far, it's currently unclear what role, if any, they will play in the final release of the game.

- During their appearance in Stripe's Reveal Trailer, the gremlins reuse some of Stripe's laughs.
- The footage of them used in Stripe's Reveal Trailer comes from Gremlins 2: The New Batch, during the scene in which the Gremlins hijack the theatre's projector.
