Agent Smith is a Fighter from The Matrix in MultiVersus. He was released on July 8th, 2024.
Origin[]
Agent Smith was created by Lilly and Lana Wachowski, the directors of The Matrix film trilogy. He is the main villain in the The Matrix film series. He is portrayed by Hugo Weaving. In the first film, Smith is an artificial intelligence program originally designed to maintain order within the Matrix, a simulated reality created by sentient machines to subdue the human population while using their bodies as an energy source. However, in the sequels after being supposedly defeated by Neo, his earpiece was removed, implying that he has disconnected from the Matrix.

CHARGING increases the lifetime of the Agent. If the Agent passes an ally, he will disappear and give his ally an AGENT BUFF. Allies with the AGENT BUFF will summon an Agent PROJECTILE when they use a forward or neutral attack on the ground. Using this attack while Smith's ally has an AGENT BUFF will instead teleport Smith to his ally. COOLDOWN applies. |

PASSIVE ABILITIES
GUN_FUSmith uses his gun for close range MELEE attacks that destroy PROJECTILES. He fires his gun one to three times whenever he SHOOTS. This is controlled by his meter, with more shots coming from more meter. SHOOTING consumes his meter, while melee attacks without his gun refresh it.
