Summary[]

Adventure Time is an animated fantasy comedy show made by Pendleton Ward at Frederator Studios for Cartoon Network known for its surreal sense of humor and philosophical themes. It revolves around a human boy named Finn, and his best friend and adoptive brother, Jake, a dog with magical powers to change shape and size at will. Together, they live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo, where they interact with the other main characters of the show: Princess Bubblegum, Lady Rainicorn, the Ice King, Marceline the Vampire Queen, Lumpy Space Princess, BMO, and many others.

The original show has been universally acclaimed by critics, and left a huge impact on both the animation industry and Cartoon Network as a company. It gained multiple video games, various crossovers with series such as Minecraft, and various spin-off shows for Max. Its pilot episode is also notable for airing on Nickelodeon, one of Cartoon Network's biggest rivals, as part of their Random! Cartoons series.
